His Excellency Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, received today, Wednesday, at Al-Maashiq Palace in the interim capital of Aden, the credentials of three ambassadors: Mr. Yonichi Nakashima of Japan, Mr. Dafallah Haj Ali Osman of the Republic of Sudan, and Mr. Hong Huy Anh of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

Following the credentials ceremony, President Al-Alimi, along with Council member Abdulrahman Al-Mahrami, held meetings with the newly accredited ambassadors to the Republic of Yemen. The ambassadors conveyed warm greetings from their respective leaders to the President, along with sincere wishes for his good health and well-being, and for the members of the Council. They also expressed hopes for security, stability, and peace for the Yemeni people.

In turn, President Al-Alimi and Council member Al-Mahrami welcomed the new ambassadors. He asked them to convey his greetings, as well as those of his fellow Council members, to their respective leaders. The President affirmed his commitment to providing all necessary support and facilitation to enhance bilateral relations effectively.

The President praised the distinguished relations between Yemen and the countries represented by the accredited ambassadors. He commended their steadfast support for the Yemeni people, their political leadership, and their aspirations to restore state institutions and end the coup by the Iran-backed terrorist Houthi militia.

His Excellency expressed appreciation—alongside his fellow members of the Presidential Leadership Council, the government, and the Yemeni people—for the international community's unified stance in supporting Yemen and its people, particularly regarding Yemen's constitutional legitimacy, national institutions, sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity.

His Excellency highlighted the achievements made in rebuilding state institutions and ensuring the operations of international missions and organizations in the interim capital, Aden. He noted the government's progress in advancing comprehensive economic and administrative reforms while addressing the repercussions of Houthi terrorist attacks on oil facilities and international shipping lanes.

He further emphasized the destabilizing practices of the terrorist Houthi militia and its supporters, including their perpetuation of a war economy, financing of terrorism, and grave violations of human rights. He also noted their intransigence toward all efforts aimed at improving living conditions in the country.

The President reaffirmed the Council's and Government's commitment to a comprehensive peace approach grounded on national, regional, and international frameworks. He emphasized their efforts to strengthen initiatives aimed at restoring economic recovery, delivering public services, and reestablishing state authority across the entire national territory.

In this context, President Al-Alimi praised the developmental and humanitarian interventions by the Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen, led by the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. These interventions have consistently enabled the Yemeni state to fulfill its essential obligations.

The President stressed the critical importance of supporting Yemen's legitimate government as a reliable partner to ensure freedom of international navigation, combat extremism and terrorism, and counter maritime piracy in the region.

His Excellency also stressed the need for the international community to adopt the designation of the Houthi militia as a foreign terrorist organization and to support the UN inspection mechanism and improve its efficiency in enforcing the ban on destabilizing Iranian weapons in Yemen and the region.

The ceremony and meetings were attended by Major General Saleh Al-Maqaleh, Director of the Presidential Office, and Mr. Mohammed Haj Mahfoudh, Chief of Presidential Protocol and Ceremonies.
