President Al-Alimi receives a cable of congratulations from Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, on Yemen’s National Day May 22

His Excellency Dr. Rashad Mohammed al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, received a cable of congratulations today from His Excellency General the Honourable David John Hurley, the Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, on the 33rd anniversary of Yemen's National Day, May 22.  

In his congratulatory cable, the  Australian President said , " I would like to extend, on my own behalf and on behalf of the Australian government and people, my warmest wishes to Your Excellency and to the Yemeni people on the 33rd anniversary of Yemen's National Day,,."

He added, "I welcome initiatives seeking a peaceful lasting solution to the ongoing crisis, and I sincerely wish a bright future for all Yemenis. I believe that the friendly relations between our two countries will be thriving for many years to come."
