President Al-Alimi Congratulates President Trump on His Swearing-In as President of United States

His Excellency Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, sent a congratulatory cable to His Excellency President Donald Trump on the occasion of his swearing-in as President of the United States of America.

In the telegram, the President of the Leadership Council, on behalf of himself, the Council members, the government, and the Yemeni people, extended his heartfelt congratulations to President Trump, wishing him success in his new presidential term and wishing the friendly American people continued progress and prosperity.

The President renewed his commendation for President Trump’s previous support for Yemen, its people, and political leadership during his earlier term, as well as his efforts to restore state institutions and overthrow the Houthi terrorist militia’s coup backed by the Iranian regime. He also expressed confidence in a promising future for fruitful bilateral cooperation between the two friendly nations in various fields.

His Excellency praised the statements in President Trump’s inaugural address, reaffirming the United States’ strong and steadfast commitment to working with the international community to end wars, deter rogue groups, and safeguard international peace and security.
