
President Al-Alimi Commends Egypt’s Pioneering Role in Enhancing Regional Security and Stability

Today, Thursday, His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, received Mr. Ahmed Farouk, the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Yemen, on the occasion of the conclusion of his tenure as a non-resident ambassador to the Republic of Yemen.
The President of the Presidential Leadership Council commended Ambassador Farouk for his diplomatic efforts in strengthening the distinguished bilateral relations between the two brotherly nations. He praised Egypt's honorable stance, under the leadership of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, in support of the Yemeni people during various stages and circumstances. This includes Egypt's active role within the Coalition to Support Legitimacy, its efforts to restore state institutions, and achieve peace, stability, and development, as well as its willingness to open its doors for hundreds of thousands of Yemenis seeking refuge from the aggression of Houthi terrorist militias. Furthermore He acknowledged Egypt's commendable efforts alongside its brothers and friends in the State of Qatar and the United States of America, which led to the successful agreement for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
The meeting was attended by Major General Saleh Al-Maqaleh, Director of the Office of the President of the Presidential Leadership Council.
