President Al-Alimi Offers Condolences on Passing of the Literary Figure Al-Suraimi

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, sent a cable of condolences and sympathy to Mr. Ghassan Al-Suraimi following the passing of his father, the renowned literary figure and poet Dr. Sultan Al-Suraimi. The late poet passed away today, Monday, after a lifetime of contributions to the field of literature.

The President of the Presidential Leadership Council, on behalf of himself, the council members, and the government, expressed sincere condolences to the family of the deceased, as well as to the literary, cultural, and artistic communities. He noted that with the passing of poet Sultan Al-Suraimi, Yemen has lost one of its foremost pioneers in poetry, intellect, literature, and the enlightenment movement advocating for freedom, justice, and equal citizenship.

His Excellency the President praised the virtues of poet Al-Suraimi and his enduring legacy in the fields of literature and lyric poetry. His Excellency prayed to Allah Almighty to bestow His mercy upon the deceased, grant him a place in His spacious gardens, and inspire his family and loved ones with patience and solace.
