President of the Leadership Council Arrives in Abu Dhabi on an Official Visit to the UAE

His Excellency Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, arrived today, Friday, along with Council Member Othman Mujali, in Abu Dhabi, on an official visit. During the visit, he is scheduled to hold talks with his brother, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, on the latest developments in Yemen, bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries, and promising prospects at various levels.

President Al-Alimi and the Council Member were received at Al Bateen Executive Airport by Mr. Abdullah Sultan bin Awad Al Nuaimi, UAE Minister of Justice, Mr. Mohammed Hamad Al-Zaabi, UAE Ambassador to Yemen, Mr. Fahd Al-Minhali, Yemen’s Ambassador to the UAE, and members of the Yemeni Embassy.

In a statement to the Yemeni News Agency Saba, the President highlighted the importance of this visit to the UAE, coinciding with the national celebrations of the two brotherly peoples, regional developments, and the necessary efforts to achieve security, stability, and peace in Yemen and the region.

The President praised the honorable and fraternal stances of the UAE, under the leadership of his brother His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and his fellow rulers, in supporting the Yemeni people and their legitimate leadership, alleviating the humanitarian crisis caused by the Houthi terrorist militias backed by the Iranian regime.

The delegation accompanying the President includes Mr. Omar Al-Amoudi, Advisor to the President of the Presidential Leadership Council, Member of Parliament, and Dr. Shai’a Al- Zendani, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates.
