President Al-Alimi Receives Head of EU Mission and German Ambassador

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council received today, Monday, Mr. Gabriel Munera Viñales, Head of the European Union Mission to Yemen, and Mr. Hubert Geiger, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Yemen.
The meeting discussed the latest developments in the local situation at all levels, including the economic and financial challenges resulting from the halt of oil exports due to Houthi terrorist attacks on oil facilities and international shipping lanes. It also discussed the severe repercussions of these issues on humanitarian, living, and service conditions.
The meeting touched upon the path of economic, financial, and administrative reforms led by the Presidential Leadership Council and the government, with support from regional and international partners. Additionally, it addressed the necessary European interventions to support the Yemeni economy and the need to redouble humanitarian and developmental commitments across various sectors.
His Excellency the President briefed the two European ambassadors on the latest developments in the Yemeni situation, the human rights violations committed by the Houthi terrorist militias, their destructive measures against the national economy, and the opportunities for a decent livelihood.
The meeting was attended by Major General Saleh Al-Maqaleh, Director of the Office of the President of the Presidential Leadership Council.
