President AL-Alimi Receives UAE’s Ambassador

Today, Monday, His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, received Mr. Mohammed Hamad Al-Zaabi, the UAE Ambassador to Yemen.

The meeting touched upon bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and peoples, and the promising prospects for strengthening these relations in various fields.

During the meeting, the Emirati Ambassador conveyed the greetings of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, to His Excellency the President and his fellow Council members, expressing Sheikh's wishes for good health and happiness for the President, as well as security, stability, and peace for the Yemeni people.

For his part, the President of the Presidential Leadership Council asked Ambassador Al-Zaabi to convey his greetings and those of the Council members to the Emirati leadership, along with wishes for continued progress and prosperity for the brotherly Emirati people under Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed’s wise leadership.

The President of the Presidential Leadership Council briefed the Emirati Ambassador on national developments, particularly the economic and humanitarian situation exacerbated by the terrorist attacks of Iran-backed Houthi militias on oil facilities and international shipping lanes.

The President of the Presidential Leadership Council praised the distinguished bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and peoples, in addition to the UAE's active role within the Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen. Furthermore, the President commended the UAE's humanitarian interventions aimed at alleviating the suffering of the Yemeni people and achieving their aspirations for restoring state institutions, stability, development, and peace.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Yahya Al-Shuaibi, Director of the Office of the Presidency of the Republic.
