President Al-Alimi Congratulates President Trump on His Victory in U.S. Presidential Elections

His Excellency Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, sent a cable of congratulations to His Excellency President Donald Trump on the occasion of his victory in the U.S. presidential elections.

On behalf of himself, as well as the members of the Council, the government, and the Yemeni people, the President of the Presidential Leadership Council expressed his sincere congratulations to President Trump on his significant electoral victory and wished him success in his presidential duties, as well as continued progress and prosperity for the friendly American people.

The President of the Presidential Leadership Council praised President Trump and his administration’s previous positions in support of Yemen, its people, its political leadership, and their aspirations to restore state institutions and overturn the coup by the Iran-backed Houthi terrorist militias. He also expressed confidence in a promising future for fruitful bilateral cooperation in various fields.

His Excellency further commended the United States’ strong and steadfast commitment to working with the United Nations and the international community to end the war and achieve a just and comprehensive peace in line with national, regional, and international references, particularly UN Security Council Resolution 2216.
