President Al-Alimi Receives Turkish Ambassador

Today, Tuesday His Excellency Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, received Mr. Mustafa Polat, Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Yemen , at the Maasheeq Presidential Palace.

The meeting touched upon bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries, latest developments in the Yemeni situation, and issues of mutual concern.

The President of the Presidential Leadership Council praised the historical relations between the Republic of Yemen and the Republic of Turkey, expressing his hope for broader cooperation between the two brotherly countries.

The President commended Turkey's supportive stance for constitutional legitimacy in Yemen and its efforts to restore state institutions. Additionally, His Excellency praised the  role of Turkey's humanitarian and charitable  organizations in alleviating the humanitarian suffering of the Yemeni people.

His Excellency expressed the appreciation of Yemen, its government and people, for the facilitations provided to the Yemeni community in Turkey, including hosting of thousands of Yemenis seeking safe refuge from the brutality of the Iran-backed Houthi militias.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Shai’a Al-Zindani, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, and Maj. General Saleh Al-Maqaleh, the Director of the office of the President of the Presidential Leadership Council.
