President Al- Alimi Offers Condolences on Passing of Former Kuwaiti Prime Minister

Today, His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, sent a cable of condolences and sympathy to his brother, His Highness Sheikh Mishaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Emir of the brotherly State of Kuwait, on the passing of the late Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, former Prime Minister of Kuwait. Sheikh Jaber passed away after a life full of contributions to serving his people and his country’s progress and development.

The President of the Presidential Leadership Council, on his own behalf, the members of the Council and the government, expressed his sincere condolences and deepest sympathy to his brother Sheikh Mishaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the family of the deceased, and the brotherly Kuwaiti people  for this painful loss. He pointed out with the passing of Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, the Kuwaiti and Arab communities have lost a distinguished statesman with a comprehensive political and intellectual vision who dedicated his life to serving his country and nation. Moreover, the deceased played a vital role in the development, progress, and prosperity of Kuwait through the various leadership positions he held in the brotherly country.

His Excellency the President hailed the deceased’s honorable positions in support of Yemeni people and their political leadership. Additionally he noted the late Sheikh’s efforts to strengthen bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and peoples. His Excellency prayed to Allah Almighty to cover the deceased with wide mercy and forgiveness, to inspire His Highness and the honorable ruling family with patience and solace, and to protect the State of Kuwait and its brotherly people against all evil and harm.
