President Al-Alimi Along With Abdullah AL-Alimi And Othman Mujli, inaugurate number of development projects in Taiz

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), along with Dr. Abdullah Al-Alimi and Sheikh Othman Mujli, members of the PLC, inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for more than 260 development and service projects. These projects are funded by the government, local authorities, and international agencies and organizations in Taiz Governorate.

The inaugurated  projects and those expected to be implemented cover several vital sectors including 104 externally funded projects with a total cost of $23,297,756, and 156 government and locally funded projects with an approximate cost of around 6 billion Yemeni rials.

The projects cover several sectors including agriculture, food security, roads, water, environmental sanitation, health, and education sectors.

The President of the Presidential Leadership Council stressed the importance of the development and humanitarian interventions being undertaken by the government, local authorities, UN agencies, and international organizations to alleviate Yemeni people ‘s  suffering caused by the Houthi terrorist militias. Moreover, he stressed the importance of focusing on more sustainable interventions and development projects.

The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by Dr. Waed Badib, the Minister of Planning and International Cooperation,  Major General Ibrahim Haidan, the Minister of Interior, Mr. Nabil Shamsan, Governor of Taiz Governorate, and Mr. Nabil Jamal, the Director of the Office of Planning and International Cooperation in Taiz Governorate.
