President Al-Alimi receives the national delegation of junior football and youth volleyball teams

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, received today, Thursday, at the Republican Palace in the city of Al-Mukalla, the delegations of the junior football and youth volleyball teams, who are preparing to compete in the West Asian Championships for the two games hosted by the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the United Arab Emirates.

During the meeting, which was attended by Mr. Mabkhout bin Madi, Governor of Hadhramout, and the heads of the first-class clubs in the governorate, the President of the Presidential Leadership Council renewed his congratulations, in his own behalf, his brothers, the members of the Council, and the government, to the junior team for the football victories and dazzling performances it achieved in sports and youth competitions during the past period. Despite the circumstances of the overwhelming war sparked by the terrorist Houthi militias supported by the Iranian regime.

His Excellency also praised the technical staff of the national teams, and the support provided by the concerned authorities to achieve more youth achievements, headed by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Presidency of the Football Association, and the leadership of the local authority in Hadhramaut Governorate, which hosts many sports and youth camps. The President also extended his thanks and appreciation to the people of the governorate, its youth and its generous citizens. 

The President of the Presidential Leadership Council said: "It is my pleasure to meet you today in the city of Mukalla, which hosts youth activities from all over the country," expressing his own and his fellow members of the Council's feelings of pride and hope for the promising football achievements that have united the hearts of all Yemenis.

He added, "fortunately, it is good to meet you in Hadhramaut Governorate, the safe haven and home of history and wisdom from which we can learn cohesiveness, focus on what benefits people and preserves the rights of our successive generations."

The President expressed his great confidence in the capabilities of promising Yemeni youth everywhere to achieve more accomplishments and create the desired transformation for our country and nation.

He said, "I am confident that our beloved country will be more stable with the help of its sons and will overcome this ordeal created by the terrorist militias supported by the Iranian regime, wasting years and decades of the lives of our sons who deserve better conditions and a better future."

The meeting was attended by Major General Saleh Al-Maqalih, the Director of the Office of the President of the Presidential Leadership Council.
