President al- Alimi receives Kuwait's Ambassador

His Excellency Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, received today, Monday, Mr. Falah al-Hajraf, Ambassador of Kuwait  to Yemen.

In the meeting, the Kuwaiti Ambassador conveyed to President Al-Alimi  the greetings of his brother, His Highness Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Emir of the State of Kuwait, and his Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah. The Kuwaiti Emir and his Crown Prince wished  the president and the members of the Council good health and happiness, and Yemeni people, security, stability, and peace.

For his part, the President of the Presidential Leadership Council asked Ambassador Al-Hajraf to convey his own and the Council members’ greetings to the Kuwaiti leadership, wishing the brotherly Kuwaiti people all progress and prosperity under Emir of Kuwait’s wise leadership.

The meeting touched upon bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and peoples, and the promising prospects for strengthening them in various fields.

The meeting also touched on latest developments in the Yemeni situation, and the required regional and international support for the path of economic and service reforms. In addition, the two parties discussed efforts of the brothers and friends to launch a comprehensive political process that meets all Yemeni’s  aspirations to restoring state institutions, stability, peace, and development.

The President of the Presidential Leadership Council expressed on his own behalf, his brothers the members of the Council, the government, and the Yemeni people, great appreciation and thanks to his brother, His Highness Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Emir of the State of Kuwait, his Crown Prince, and his government, for the kind directives to support Yemeni Airlines with three aircraft and two engines, in response to a presidential request.

His Excellency the President praised Kuwait’s  honorable positions, its generous humanitarian and development interventions. Furthermore, he praised ‏ Kuwait’s sincere support to Yemeni people ‘s aspirations and their political leadership in various stages and circumstances.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Yahya Al-Shuaibi, Director of the Office of the Presidency of the Republic.
