President Al-Alimi receives UK Ambassador

Today, Thursday, His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council has received the UK Ambassador to Yemen, Abda Sharif.

The meeting touched upon bilateral relations, national and regional developments, and ways of joint coordination between the two friendly countries at all levels.

The meeting also touched upon government economic reforms, the ongoing catastrophic repercussions of the Houthi terrorist attacks on oil installations, commercial ships, and international shipping lines, and their grave violations against international relief workers and human rights activists.

The President of the Presidential Leadership Council praised the distinguished bilateral relations between the two friendly countries, and the aspirations to develop them with the new British government in various fields.

He also praised the continued British support for the Yemeni Coast Guard Forces, the joint efforts to combat terrorism, arms and drug smuggling, organized crime, and the punitive measures required to deter the Houthi militias for humanitarian law and relevant international resolutions.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Yahya Al-Shuaibi, Director of the Office of the Presidency of the Republic.
