
President Al- Alimi receives China's acting ambassador
Riyadh
President Dr. Rashad Muhammad Al-Alimi, the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, received today, Tuesday, Charge d 'Affaires Shao Zheng of the Chinese Embassy in Yemen to discuss developments in the local situation and efforts to revive peace in Yemen.
During the meeting, Ambassador Zheng conveyed the greetings of President Xi Jinping of the People's Republic of China to the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, wishing him and Council members good health and happiness and to the Yemeni people, peace, stability and development.
The meeting touched upon the distinguished bilateral relations between the two friendly countries, and the role of the People's Republic of China in promoting international peace and security, including its recent efforts that led to an agreement to resume diplomatic relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Iran, in a way that guarantees Tehran's respect for the sovereignty of states and non-interference in its internal affairs.
The Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council praised the long-standing bilateral relations with the People's Republic of China, its firm stances on the side of the Yemeni people, their leadership and government, and the alleviation of their human suffering caused by the Iran- backed Houthi militia.
