President Al-Alimi receives a cable of congratulations from Arab League Secretary-General on National Day

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammad Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, received a congratulatory cable from Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, on the occasion of the 34th National Day of the Republic of Yemen,May 22.

In the congratulatory cable, Abu Al-Gheit said, "It is my honour to extend to Your Excellency my heartfelt congratulations and best wishes on the occasion of the National Day of the Republic of Yemen. I pray to Allah Almighty to protect you  and bless you, and to restore this occasion to Your Excellency with abundant health and happiness, and to the dear Yemeni people , with further progress and lasting prosperity under your wise leadership."

He added, "I am confident that Your Excellency will continue with all efficiency and competence serving the Republic of Yemen and its people, protecting its interests and preserving its gains and resources. In addition you’ll continue improving the level of joint Arab action in the manner we all aspire to, and in a way that meets the hopes and aspirations of our Arab countries and peoples." 

The Secretary-General of the Arab League reiterated the Arab League's keenness to harness all its energies to cooperate with Yemen and its government in all that would achieve development, progress and prosperity for Yemen and our Arab nation.
