President Al-Alimi receives a cable of congratulations from Governor of Australia on Yemen’s National Day

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, received a congratulatory cable from His Excellency General David Hurley, Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, on the occasion of the 34th National Day of the Republic of Yemen, May 22.

The Governor of Australia said, "On my own behalf, the Government and people of Australia, I would like to extend best wishes to Your Excellency, the Presidential Leadership Council, and the people of Yemen on the occasion of the 34th anniversary of Yemen’s national day .'"

He added, "Australia remains concerned about the difficulties faced by Yemeni citizens, and I strongly believe that your government will continue to work closely with UN Special Envoy, Hans Grundberg, to restore peace in Yemen.' 

The Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia affirmed that the friendly relations between the two countries will continue to thrive for many years to come.
