President Al-Alimi Discusses with Russian Presidential Special Envoy National and Regional Developments

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, met today, Thursday, with Mr. Mikhail Bogdanov, the Russian Presidential Special Envoy to the Middle East and Africa, and Deputy Foreign Minister, on the sidelines of the Bahrain Arab Summit.
The meeting touched upon the long-standing bilateral relations between the two friendly countries, and the promising opportunities to develop and enhance them in various fields.
The meeting also touched upon developments in the Yemeni situation, developments in the Red Sea and the Russian efforts required to contain their devastating repercussions on living conditions and international peace and security.
The President of the Presidential Leadership Council praised the distinguished bilateral relations between the Republic of Yemen and the Federal Republic of Russia, and the steadfast Russian position alongside the Yemeni people, its constitutional legitimacy, and its national institutions.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Shay’a Al-Zindani, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates.
