President Al-Alim participates in the opening session of Arab League Summit

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, along with Council members Abdul Rahman Al-Mahrami and Othman Mujalli , participated in the opening session of the 33rd Ordinary Arab League Summit, which kicked off today, Thursday, in the Bahraini capital, Manama.

Yemen's delegation to the summit includes Dr. Shaya'e bin Mohsen Al-Zindani, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ambassador Riyad Al-Akbari, Yemen's Permanent representative to Arab League, and Dr. Ali Al-Ahmadi, the Ambassador of Yemen to the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The President of the Presidential Leadership Council is to deliver Yemen’s speech at the Arab Summit later. He will also discuss with a number of his brothers, Their Majesties, Excellencies, and Highnesses, and heads of participating delegations, developments in the Yemeni situation, common challenges, and ways for activating and enhancing Arab mechanisms in facing such challenges.

The Manama Arab Summit is being held in extremely complex political and security circumstances, foremost of which is the continuation of the brutal Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people, and the escalation of the risks of terrorist militias and their threats to regional and international security and peace.

The summit's agenda includes a range of topics, with prominent focus on the Palestinian issue and the severe Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip. Furthermore, it is scheduled that the summit is to address matters concerning national security, strengthening joint Arab solidarity, enhancing joint Arab solidarity, combating terrorism, and external interference in the internal affairs of Arab countries. Additionally, the summit will touch upon latest developments in Yemen, Syria, Libya, Sudan, and Lebanon.
