
The Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council discusses with the Iraqi Prime Minister the bilateral relations between the two countries

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, and Council member Faraj Al-Bahsani, met with the Prime Minister of the brotherly Republic of Iraq, Mohammed Shia’ Al-Sudani, on the sidelines of his participation in the fifty-ninth Munich Security Conference today, Friday.
During the meeting they discussed the developments in the two brotherly countries, the long-standing bilateral relations, and ways to advance them to broader horizons.
The Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council expressed his great appreciation for the status of Iraq, the importance of strengthening its active role in the Arab system, and exchanging visions and ideas in facing common challenges at various levels.
For his part, the Iraqi Prime Minister affirmed his country's pride for the distinguished fraternal relations with Yemen, and his government's support for all efforts aimed at establishing peace, stability and ending the suffering of the Yemeni people.
The meeting was attended by the Director of the Office of the Presidency of the Republic, Dr. Yahya Al-Shuaibi, and the Minister of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak, and on the Iraqi side, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Fouad Hussein, and a number of Iraqi officials.
