President Al- Alimi concludes a regular medical checkup

A source at the Office of the Presidency of the Republic stated that His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) concluded today, Saturday, a regular medical checkup in the Federal Republic of Germany. 

The annual medical checkup came following his Excellency’s participation in Munich Security Conference. This year the conference focused on regional developments in Middle East including the repercussions of the Houthis' terrorist attacks on shipping lanes in the Red Sea, most recent of its devastating disasters is the sinking of Rubymar ship.

In a discussion panel during Munich Conference on Yemen, the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden, the President of the Presidential Leadership Council warned of the risks of the Houthi militias' piracy  and attacks on commercial shipping , in addition to the continued flow of Iranian weapons to this global terrorist organization. 

His Excellency stressed  in various events and meetings with participating delegations, the required role of the international community to support the Yemeni government, strengthen its sovereignty over all Yemeni territories, coasts and regional waters. He also stressed the required role of the international community to ensure the security of maritime navigation and international security and peace.
