President al- Alimi receives German Minister of State

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, received today at his residence in Munich, Dr Tobias Lindner, German Minister of State at the Federal Foreign Office, to discuss bilateral relations, latest Yemeni and regional developments and their implications for international peace and security.

During the meeting, the President of the Presidential Leadership Council praised the distinguished bilateral relations between the two friendly countries. He also praised Germany's position in support of Yemeni people and their constitutional legitimacy at various levels.

President Al- Alimi expressed the Council and government’s aspiration for a greater role played by  the Federal Republic of Germany to bringing peace to the Yemeni people and achieving their aspirations of  restoring state institutions, security, stability, and development.

The meeting touched upon the Iran- backed Houthi terrorist’s  attacks on maritime shipping and their catastrophic impact on humanitarian, economic, and security aspects of the region’s people and the whole world.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Yahya Al-Shuaibi, Director of the Office of the Presidency of the Republic, Mr. Abdulaziz Al-Mekhlafi, the Economic Advisor to the President of the Presidential Leadership Council, and Mr. Louay Al-Eryani, the Chargé d’Affairs of the Yemeni Embassy to Germany.
