President Al-Alimi congratulates Emir of Qatar on winning the Asian Cup

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, has sent a congratulatory message to his brother, His Highness Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the brotherly State of Qatar, congratulating him for his country’s winning the Asian Cup for the second time in a row. The Asian Cup was hosted in Doha during the period from January 12 to February 10, 2024.

The President of the Presidential Leadership Council, on his own behalf, the members of the Council and the government, expressed his sincere congratulations to His Highness Prince Tamim on this well-deserved sporting achievement. His excellency praised the wonderful performance presented by the Qatari team, the skills, technical capabilities and high sportsmanship it demonstrated, which deservedly qualified it to win the Asian championship for the second time in its history. 

His Excellency, the President also praised the honorable level shown by the tournament runner-up, the Jordanian team, and the great potential that the brotherly State of Qatar has harnessed to make the tournament a success at all levels.
