President Al-Alimi offers condolences on the death of Dr. Qasim Salam

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, sent a message of condolences to Dr. Hakim Qasim Salam, his brothers, and his honorable family on the passing of their father, the prominent political figure, patriotic and brave activist, member of the Shura Council, and former Minister of Tourism, Dr. Qasim Salam Saeed Al-Sharjabi, the Secretary of the Regional Command of the Arab National Socialist Baath Party, who passed away in a hospital in the Egyptian capital, Cairo. The deceased passed away after a life full of bestowal and sincere struggle for the principles of the republican system, and the elevation and progress of his country and people.

The President of the Presidential Leadership Council, on his own behalf, the members of the Council and the government, expressed his deep sorrow and sincere condolences to the family of the late great man, praising his national virtues and exploits as one of the most prominent early strugglers. Who believed in the principles of the revolution and the republic, and the aspirations of his people for freedom, justice and equal citizenship, which he fought for and remained loyal to until the last breath of his life.

The President of the Presidential Leadership Council said in his telegram that Yemen lost with the passing of Dr. Qasim Salam, one of its brave sons who remained loyal to the covenant, as a reference leader on the travails of the national and political movement, of which the deceased was one of its symbols. Furthermore, he was a seasoned statesman of a high caliber during the Republican era, which today is in the midst of another battle against the Imamate project supported by the Iranian regime. His Excellency asked God to cover the deceased with the fullness of mercy and forgiveness and to inspire his family and loved ones with patience and solace.
