The President congratulates Sheikh Meshaal Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on assuming power in the State of Kuwait

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Muhammad Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, sent a cable of congratulations to his brother, His Highness Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, on the occasion of assuming power as Emir of the brotherly State of Kuwait, succeeding the late Emir, God Almighty blessed him, His Highness Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.

The President of the Presidential Leadership Council expressed, on his own behalf, the members of the Council, the government, and the Yemeni people his sincere congratulations to Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on assuming power as Emir of the State of Kuwait, and his wishes for him to succeed in his new duties, and for the brotherly Kuwaiti people to have further prosperity and progress under his wise leadership.

His Excellency the President praised Prince Mishal and the late princes of Kuwait, may God have mercy on them all, for their honorable positions alongside the Yemeni people, and their political leadership in various stages and circumstances, leading to Kuwait’s effective role within the coalition to support legitimacy led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

His Excellency also expressed his confidence and the Yemeni people’s confidence that an era full of fruitful cooperation and more support will be witnessed in bilateral relations between the two countries under the new Kuwaiti leadership.
