The President receives the UAE Ambassador

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, received today, Monday, the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Yemen, Mohammed Hamad Al-Zaabi.

In the meeting, the Emirati Ambassador conveyed to His Excellency the President the greetings of his brother, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, and his wishes of health and happiness, and to the Yemeni people, security, stability, and peace.

For his part, the President of the Presidential Leadership Council, asked Ambassador Al Zaabi to convey his greetings and the members of the Council to the Emirati leadership, and his wishes for good health and wellness, and for the brotherly Emirati people all progress and prosperity.

The meeting touched on the relations between the two countries and the two brotherly peoples, and the promising prospects for strengthening them in various fields.

The President of the Presidential Leadership Council praised the distinguished bilateral cooperation, coordination, and the role of the United Arab Emirates within the coalition to support legitimacy. His Excellency also, praised its development and humanitarian interventions to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people and achieve their aspirations to restore state institutions, stability, development and peace.

The meeting also touched on developments in the Yemeni situation, including the mediation by the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Sultanate of Oman to renew the truce and launch a comprehensive political process under the auspices of the United Nations.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Yahya Al-Shuaibi, Director of the Office of the Presidency of the Republic.
