President Al-Alimi Holds Phone Call with President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi

President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), held a phone call today, Friday, with his brother, President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi of the Arab Republic of Egypt.

The two presidents discussed the historic bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and peoples, developments in Yemen and the region, and regional and international issues of mutual interest.

President Al-Alimi expressed his deep appreciation to President Al-Sisi and to the Arab Republic of Egypt, its leadership, government, and people, for their steadfast fraternal support for Yemen, its people, and its political leadership. He also valued Egypt’s political and humanitarian support, as well as the care and facilities provided to Yemenis residing in Egypt.

The PLC President also praised Egypt’s pivotal role in supporting regional security and stability, safeguarding Arab national security, and protecting the security of the Red Sea and international waterways.

President Al-Sisi extended his sincere congratulations to President Al-Alimi and the Yemeni people on the 64th anniversary of the glorious September 26 Revolution. He expressed his wishes for security, stability, and peace for Yemen and its people.

President Al-Sisi also reaffirmed Egypt’s steadfast support for Yemen, its people, and its political leadership. He stressed Egypt’s support for Yemen’s security, stability, unity, and territorial integrity, as well as for all efforts aimed at achieving peace and stability and ending the suffering of the Yemeni people.

The two presidents stressed the importance of continuing coordination and consultations between the two brotherly countries and enhancing bilateral cooperation in various fields in a way that serves their shared interests and contributes to supporting security, stability, and peace in Yemen and the region.
