President of the PLC directs the concerned authorities to address the case of Dr. Al-Shuja’a in coordination with the brothers in Egypt

An official source in the Office of the President of the Presidential Leadership Council stated that, His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi directed the relevant authorities in the government to communicate with the brothers in the Arab Republic of Egypt regarding the case of Dr. Adel Al-Shuja’a, and to develop appropriate solutions through diplomatic channels between the two brotherly countries.

The source explained that the President of the Presidential Leadership Council followed with great interest the controversy surrounding the procedures for deporting Dr. Al-Shuja’a, which was carried out in accordance with the Egyptian laws adopted in the brotherly country, without any interference on the part of our country’s government. Contrary to what was circulated in the media and social media networks.

The source stated that the directives included: respecting the Egyptian laws, and taking into account the exceptional circumstances of the war sparked by the Houthi militias with the support of the Iranian regime, while communicating with our Egyptian brothers, including fulfilling Dr. Al-Shuja’a’s request to move to a third country.

The source renewed praise for the long-standing bilateral relations between the Republic of Yemen and the Arab Republic of Egypt at various stages and circumstances, up to the generous directives of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to grant Yemeni residents and expatriates many facilities in Egypt. The brotherly country which opened its doors to receive hundreds of thousands of Yemenis seeking a safe haven from the oppression of the Houthi militias, supported by the Iranian regime.

The source called on all citizens of the Republic of Yemen in the Arab Republic of Egypt and all countries of emigration to strictly adhere to the laws of the host countries, and to present their country and the cause of their people to the fullest extent.
