Supreme Commander Hails Military Victories, Vows to Liberate All Territory and Defeat Militias

President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, hailed the heroes of the Armed Forces and all military formations stationed across the various fronts of honor and valor. He commended the significant victories and field gains they have achieved over the past hours on the Taiz and Hodeidah fronts.

President Al-Alimi praised the units of the National Resistance Brigades, Giants Brigades, and Tihama Brigades for completing the liberation and securing of Hays District in Hodeidah Governorate. He also commended the heroes of the Armed Forces on the Hayfan front, while highlighting the active role of the Air Force in supporting ground forces and effectively addressing hostile threats across various theaters of operations.

During his phone calls with military and field commanders, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces was briefed on the latest developments in military operations. He was briefed on the gains made on the ground, combat readiness, measures to consolidate and secure liberated areas, and efforts to clear the remaining positions infiltrated by the militias. He directed the forces to continue carrying out their military duties with responsibility and resolve, maintain the upper hand, and enhance coordination among the various units and military formations operating in the theater.

President Al-Alimi said the Houthi militias, which chose to embark on this adventure, would bear its full consequences. He affirmed that Taiz would not become a safe passage for the projects and agendas of their backers. He stressed that the Armed Forces, which confronted their attack and seized the upper hand on the ground, are capable of reclaiming the entire national territory and continuing their constitutional duty to defend citizens and the country’s supreme interests.

“The militias chose to test the state and its Armed Forces on one of Yemen’s most resilient fronts. They must now realize that their miscalculations will open the door to their complete collapse,” he added.

The Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces directed all military commanders, units, and formations to strictly adhere to international humanitarian law and the rules of engagement, and to protect civilians and public and private property. They were also directed to facilitate the delivery of aid and assistance to displaced persons, treat detainees humanely, and safeguard their dignity and rights. He said that “the hand that carries a weapon in defense of the Republic must also remain the hand of the state and the rule of law.”

President Al-Alimi prayed for the souls of the brave martyrs from the Armed Forces and all military formations who fell on the fields of honor and valor. He affirmed that their precious sacrifices would remain a source of reverence and a responsibility for the state and people, stressing that their pure blood is paving the way for Yemenis to restore their state, freedom, and dignity. He directed the relevant authorities to provide the wounded with the necessary care and treatment, look after the families of the martyrs, and honor their rights and entitlements. He described this as a national and moral duty that must not be neglected or delayed.

President Al-Alimi held the Houthi militias fully responsible for the violations accompanying their criminal escalation. This includes attacks on residential areas and public roads through shelling, sniper fire, and drones, which resulted in civilian casualties, abductions, and the displacement of hundreds of families. He affirmed that such crimes would not be subject to a statute of limitations, stressing that the Armed Forces’ advance would continue to be accompanied by the utmost concern for the lives and safety of civilians.

The PLC President renewed his call on all political and social forces, intellectual and awareness platforms, and media outlets to unite the national ranks, strengthen confidence in the Armed Forces and all military formations. He called on them to refrain from being drawn into campaigns of doubt, treason accusations, political bickering, and schadenfreude, which serve only the terrorist militias. He affirmed that the Armed Forces, having demonstrated their ability to withstand attacks and deliver decisive deterrence, are steadily advancing toward the overarching national objective of restoring state institutions. “A choice from which there will be no turning back, regardless of the sacrifices required”, he added.

The Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces also renewed his call on tribal communities and those misled in militia-controlled areas not to allow their sons to be drawn into a battle serving a project unrelated to the interests of Yemenis. He urged those who remain in the ranks of the militias to return to the right path and not sacrifice their lives for leaders who have chosen to become beholden to cross-border projects of destruction.
