PLC President Meets Leadership of Consultation and Reconciliation Commission

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), met today,Monday, with Chairman of the Consultation and Reconciliation Commission Mohammed Al-Ghaithi. The meeting also included the Commission’s deputies Abdulmalik Al-Mikhlafi, Sakhr Al-Wajeeh, Jameela Ali Rajaa, and Akram Al-Ameri.

The meeting reviewed the latest national developments, as well as the Commission’s plans and work program for the coming period in line with its role in supporting the Presidential Leadership Council and strengthening national consensus to address current challenges.

Discussions emphasized the importance of the Commission fulfilling the responsibilities assigned to it under the Declaration of the Transfer of Power and its internal regulations. Particular emphasis was placed on promoting unity among the country’s political and national components to strengthen state institutions and advance the transitional process.

His Excellency the President briefed the Commission’s leadership on the latest political, security, and military developments, including the escalation by the Iran-backed Houthi terrorist militia and Iran’s continued violations of international resolutions concerning Yemen. The latest incident involved the operation of a flight carrying military experts and military-related technology to Houthi-controlled areas. An act described as a blatant violation of Yemen’s sovereignty, a direct challenge to the international community, and a serious setback to de-escalation efforts in Yemen and the wider region.

The meeting further reviewed the government’s progress in implementing its comprehensive reform agenda, advancing economic recovery plans, and improving state revenues. It also highlighted the achievements made with the continued support of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The President praised the significant successes achieved by the country’s security and intelligence agencies in dismantling terrorist cells and networks and foiling several criminal plots. He noted that this reflected the growing capabilities of state institutions and the effectiveness of national security agencies in safeguarding stability and public security.

The President stressed the need for the highest levels of coordination and integration among state institutions and supporting bodies. He also called for greater unity in national decision-making and the mobilization of all efforts toward restoring state institutions. He emphasized the importance of protecting the gains achieved in economic recovery and strengthening the confidence of regional and international partners.
