PLC President Commends Armed Forces’ Vigilance in Repelling Terrorist Houthi Militia Attack

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, held a telephone conversation with Presidential Leadership Council member Lt. Gen. Tareq Saleh to receive an update on the latest field developments on the West Coast front.

The conversation followed the successful repulsion by the National Resistance Forces of an attack launched by the Iran-backed Houthi terrorist militia south of Al-Hodeidah Governorate.

During the call, President Al-Alimi was briefed by Lt. Gen. Tareq Saleh on the course of the clashes involving units of the 14th Infantry Brigade (Second Zaraniq Brigade) of the First National Resistance Division against Houthi militia elements. The operation ended with the foiling of the militia’s infiltration attempt into forward positions, forcing its fighters to retreat after sustaining heavy casualties.

President Al-Alimi praised the high level of vigilance, discipline, and combat readiness demonstrated by the National Resistance Forces, as well as all military formations stationed across various fronts. He affirmed that this fighting spirit constitutes a strong bulwark against the hostile schemes of the Houthi militia aimed at undermining security and stability in the country.

The President stressed the importance of maintaining the highest levels of preparedness and operational readiness, while enhancing coordination among all military units to ensure the unity of the fronts, thwart any hostile attempts, and safeguard the interests of citizens and the nation’s hard-won gains.
