President Al- Alimi meets Iraqi Prime Minister

President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council met on Wednesday, with Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Iraq, on the sidelines of his participation in the meetings of the United Nations General Assembly.

The meeting touched on the latest developments in the two countries, the ancient bilateral relations, and ways to advance them to broader horizons.

The meeting also reviewed the efforts of brothers and friends to renew the truce and launch a comprehensive political process on the basis of the three terms of reference agreed upon nationally, regionally and internationally. 

The meeting was attended by Dr. Yahya Al-Shuaibi, Director of the Office of the Presidency of the Republic, Dr. Ahmed bin Mubarak, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Abdullah Al-Saadi, Yemen’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, and Mohammed Al-Hadhrami, Yemen's Ambassador to the United States.

 For the Iraqi side the meeting was attended by Ibrahim Namis, the Minister of Education.
