President Al-Alimi Receives Cable of Congratulations from President of China on National Day

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, received a cable of congratulations from His Excellency Xi Jinping, President of the People’s Republic of China. The telegram was sent on the occasion of the 36th National Day of the Republic of Yemen, 22 May.

In his cable, the Chinese President stated: “On the occasion of the National Day of Yemen, I am pleased to extend to you, on behalf of the Government of the People’s Republic of China and its people, my sincere congratulations and best wishes to you, the Government of the Republic of Yemen, and its people.” He noted the long-standing and deep-rooted friendship between China and Yemen.

He added: “Over the past seventy years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, both sides have continued to exchange support and respect, and bilateral relations have witnessed steady and continuous development. I attach great importance to the development of China–Yemen relations and look forward to working with Your Excellency to elevate these relations to new horizons for the benefit of the two friendly peoples.” He also wished the President abundant health and continued success.
