President Al-Alimi Receives Cable of Congratulations from President of Portugal on National Day

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, received a cable of congratulations from His Excellency President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa of the Portuguese Republic. The telegram was sent on the occasion of the 36th National Day of the Republic of Yemen, 22 May.
In the cable, President de Sousa stated: “On the occasion of the National Day of the friendly Republic of Yemen, which embodies the anniversary of the achievement of national unity, I would like to extend to Your Excellency, on behalf of the Portuguese people and in my own name, my sincere congratulations and best wishes for your abundant health and happiness, and for the Yemeni people continued progress, prosperity, security, stability, and peace.”
The Portuguese President affirmed his keenness to continue strengthening the relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries in a manner that serves the shared interests of the two friendly peoples.
