President Al-Alimi meets with Jordanian King Abdullah II

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, met today, Tuesday, with His Majesty King Abdullah II the king of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordon, in the presence of the Member of the Presidential Council Aidarous Al-Zubaidi and the Crown Prince of Jordon His Highness Prince Al-Hussein bin Abdullah II. 

The meeting touched upon the strong Yemeni-Jordanian bilateral relations and latest Yemeni developments, including the mediation and good offices led by brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Sultanate of Oman to renew the truce and to launch an comprehensive political process sponsored by the UN.

During the meeting, President Al-Alimi expressed his deep thanks and great gratitude to Jordanian King, government and people for their supportive stances in support of the Yemeni people, its legal leadership and aspirations to restore the state's institutions, security, stability and peace.

The President praised the Jordanian facilities for Yemeni residents and immigrants, expressing confidence that bilateral relations will witness further development and growth in various fields.

For his part, His Majesty King Abdullah II reiterated the keenness of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordon to support Yemen and its national institutions. Hi Majesty expressed his  openness to all initiatives and required support to alleviate the Yemeni people's suffering.

The meeting was attended by Director of the Office of the Presidency of the Republic, Dr. Yahya Al-Shuaibi, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Ahmed bin Mubarak, and From the Jordanian side the meeting was attended by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs Ayman Al Safadi.
