President Al-Alimi Offers Condolences on Passing of Maj. Gen. Hatem Abu Hatem

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, sent a cable of condolences to Dr. Muammar Hatem Abu Hatem, his brothers, and their esteemed family on the passing of their father, the prominent political figure and courageous national veteran, Major General Engineer Hatem Abu Hatem. The late engineer passed away after a lifetime of dedicated service and sincere struggle for the principles of the republican system and for the progress and prosperity of his country and people.
On behalf of himself, the members of the Council, and the Government, President Al-Alimi expressed his deep sorrow and sincere condolences to the family of the late national figure. His Excellency further commended Major General Hatem’s virtues and national legacy as one of the foremost early patriots who believed in the principles of the republican system and in the aspirations of his people for freedom, justice, and equal citizenship.
The President affirmed in his cable that, with the passing of Major General Abu Hatem, Yemen has lost one of its loyal figures who left distinguished marks on the course of national and pan-Arab struggle. He also expressed confidence that the deceased’s great patriotic legacy will remain alive in the memory of future generations. He prayed to Almighty Allah to bestow His vast mercy and forgiveness upon the deceased and to inspire his family and loved ones with patience and solace.
