The President of the Presidential Leadership Council receives the Ambassador of the Republic of France to bid farewell.

His Excellency the President, Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, along with the Council’ member Dr. Abdullah Al-Alimi, received the French Ambassador, Jean-Marie Safa, to bid farewell on the occasion of the end of his tenure as Ambassador of the Republic of France to the Republic of Yemen.

The meeting touched on the distinguished bilateral relations between the two friendly countries, and the latest developments in the efforts to revive the peace process led by the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in coordination with the United Nations and regional and international partners.

The meeting also touched on government reforms in the financial, economic and service aspects, and the international support required to enhance these reforms in various fields.

The President of the Presidential Leadership Council praised the firm position of the leadership and government of the French Republic alongside the Yemeni people, their political leadership, and their aspirations to restore state institutions, security, stability and peace.

His Excellency also praised the role of Ambassador Jean-Marie Safa in strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries, and his advanced understanding of the Yemeni issue, wishing him all success in his future duties.

The meeting was attended by Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Osan Al-Oud.
