Two Republican Decrees Appoint Commander of the Special Security Forces and Head of the Civil Defense Authority

Two republican decrees were issued today.

Republican Decree No. (5) of 2026 stipulates in Article One the appointment of Brigadier General Abdul Salam Qaed Abdulqawi Al-Jamali as Commander of the Special Security Forces, and his promotion to the rank of Major General.

Republican Decree No. (6) of 2026 stipulates in Article One the appointment of Brigadier General Abdul Salam Abdulrab Ahmed Al-Omari as Head of the Civil Defense Authority, and his promotion to the rank of Major General.

Article Two of both decrees states that they shall enter into force as of the date of their issuance and shall be published in the Official Gazette and military bulletins.
