Presidential Directives to Commemorate Former Vice President’s Name

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, has directed the governors of Aden, Taiz, Hadhramaut, and Marib to take the necessary measures to commemorate the name and legacy of the late former Vice President of the Presidential Council, veteran national figure Ali Salem Al-Beidh. The derivatives came in recognition of his national career and his political and struggle-related role during pivotal stages of Yemen’s modern history.
According to the text of the presidential directives reviewed by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the President stressed the importance of completing the required legal and administrative procedures. These procedures aim to name a main street or another prominent urban landmark after the late Ali Salem Al-Beidh, as deemed appropriate by local authorities and in a manner befitting his national stature.
In implementation of the presidential directives, Hadhramaut Governorate announced the naming of the main Sixty Street after the late Ali Salem Al-Beidh. This step embodies his principled and courageous positions and expresses pride and fairness in honoring his sacrifices, as well as those of all national figures who brought about decisive transformations in the country’s history.
