President Al-Alimi Reviews Conditions in Shabwah, Abyan, and Lahj Governorates

His Excellency Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, conducted telephone calls on Thursday evening with the governors of Shabwah, Abyan, and Lahj – Awad bin Al-Wazir, Abu Bakr Hussein, and Ahmed Turki, respectively – to inquire about the well-being of citizens, efforts to normalize conditions, improve public services, and enhance security and stability.

During the calls, the President received briefings from the governors on measures taken to secure vital facilities, protect public interests, preserve state resources, and prevent any attempts to undermine public order or disrupt services.

His Excellency praised the commendable role of the people of Shabwah, Abyan, and Lahj and their national stances in support of the state and its legitimate institutions.

The President affirmed his confidence in the awareness and patriotism of the citizens of these southern governorates and their support for local authorities. He emphasized that such cooperation contributes to consolidating security, stability, and development, safeguarding civil peace, and improving living conditions.

Furthermore, His Excellency reiterated the state’s commitment to a fair resolution of the Southern Issue, recognizing its historical and social dimensions, based on the free will of the people under normal circumstances. In this context, he expressed appreciation for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s response to host and sponsor the Southern Dialogue Conference to discuss just solutions for the Southern Issue within the framework of a comprehensive political settlement in the country.
