President of the Presidential Leadership Council Receives Prime Minister

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, today, Thursday, received Prime Minister Mr. Salem Saleh bin Bureik. During the meeting, the Prime Minister submitted the resignation of the government in order to pave the way for the formation of a new cabinet in line with the transformations recently witnessed by the country. These developments relate to ongoing efforts to restore state institutions and strengthen the unity of sovereign decision-making. They also aim to advance approaches focused on entrenching the values of partnership and collective responsibility. In addition, they seek to move forward with a comprehensive reform program, combat corruption, and unify all efforts toward the goal of restoring state institutions and ending the coup.
During the meeting, the President of the Presidential Leadership Council praised the efforts exerted by the Prime Minister and members of the government in achieving economic and monetary stability during the past period, despite the acute financing crisis exacerbated by the terrorist Houthi militias’ attacks on oil facilities, backed by the Iranian regime.
