President Al-Alimi receives Chief & members of the Supreme Judiciary Council

His Excellency President Rashad al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, along with the Council's Member Dr. Abdullah al-Alim, received today Tuesday, the Chief and Members of the Supreme Judiciary Council, at al-Ma'shiq Palace in the interim capital Aden.

President al-Alimi along with the Council member were briefed by the Chief of the Supreme  Judiciary Council, Judge Yahya Talib and members of the Judiciary Council on the actions and achievements of the Council over the recent period, its future plans to boost the role of the judicial authority in delivering justice, enforcing the rule of law and regaining the peoples' trust in the state's institutions at different levels.

Judge Talib and members of the Judicial Council also cited a number of requirements in the financial and infrastructure domains to further upgrade the judicial authority and enhance its role, establishing the values of justice, the state's prestige, protection of rights and public freedoms.

President al-Alimi applauded the Judiciary Council’s achieved efforts and progress since it has been reconstituted, highlighting its significant role in enhancing public tranquility and societal satisfaction with state institutions amid current difficult circumstances which produced by Iran-backed Houthi militias' coup and triggered war. 

The President of the Presidential Leadership Council renewed the commitment of the Council and the government to enhance the principle of separating authorities,  the judiciary independence, and non- intervention in the judiciary actions. To this end, His Excellency directed the government to remove all obstacles facing the judicial authority and to approve an appropriate budget for the judiciary Council in pursuant to the law and within the available financial resources starting from next year.

 The President of the Presidential Leadership Council briefed the leadership of the judicial authority on the latest political and economic developments, the path of service reforms, and efforts to alleviate humanitarian suffering in light of the catastrophic repercussions of Houthi militia attacks on oil facilities, infrastructure, and international navigation security.

His Excellency praised the role of the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, led by, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and his Crown Prince, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman, in fulfilling the government's essential commitments and mitigating the effects of the financial crisis on humanitarian conditions, and preventing the disruption of key service supplies.
