His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, congratulated the people of Hadhramout and Al-Mahrah governorates, the local authority leaderships, and the heroes of the Homeland Shield Forces on the successful takeover of military camps in the two governorates. He praised the swift and highly efficient execution of the operation, which exceeded expectations and contributed to consolidating security, stability and safeguarding social peace.

The President commended the responsible and courageous role of the local authority leaderships in Hadhramout and Al-Mahrah, lauding their wisdom in managing the phase and prioritizing the public interest. He affirmed that this achievement reflects the alignment of local communities with the state and its institutions, and lays the groundwork for a new phase of coexistence, the resumption of services, and improved living conditions for citizens.

President Al-Alimi highly valued the efforts of the Joint Forces of the Coalition to Support Legitimacy, led by the brotherly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, whose decisive role ensured the security of the camp handover process, reduced escalation, protected civilians, and ensured the operation’s success in accordance with international laws and norms. He renewed his profound thanks and appreciation to the Kingdom’s leadership for its gracious response to the request to protect civilians and for its pivotal role in enhancing Yemen’s security and stability, as well as that of the region.

The President of the Presidential Leadership Council affirmed that the restoration of security and stability in Hadhramout and Al-Mahrah will mark the launch of a promising phase of development and reconstruction in both governorates. He expressed confidence in the support of brothers and friends for infrastructure and service projects, and in opening horizons for investment and job creation, yielding direct benefits for citizens.

The President called on all Yemenis and their political and societal components not to waste time in side conflicts, and to focus on building the state and moving forward with implementing the priorities of the transitional phase in accordance with nationally, regionally, and internationally agreed references. This includes reorganizing the armed forces under the Ministries of Defense and Interior, and extending their authority and the rule of law across the entire national territory.

His Excellency also expressed strong confidence in the awareness of the people of the southern governorates, their national sense, and their historically active role in building state institutions and defending the republican system. He emphasized that the South has been and will remain a fundamental pillar of the modern state project and an authentic partner in shaping its future.

President Al-Alimi reiterated the state’s firm commitment to a just and comprehensive resolution of the Southern Issue that meets legitimate aspirations and addresses past grievances within an institutional national framework grounded in the popular will under normal conditions. Such a path, he said, guarantees the protection of coexistence, Yemen’s security and stability, and the consolidation of its Arab identity, geographic depth, and social fabric in the Arabian Peninsula.

He further affirmed the state’s commitment to working closely with regional and international partners to combat terrorism and smuggling, and to protect maritime corridors. He also stressed the need to halt any form of support outside national institutions, dry up illicit funding sources, and hold accountable anyone proven to be involved in violations or the misuse of national resources.

The President expressed appreciation for the international community’s principled stances in support of the Yemeni people, their political leadership, unity, security, stability, and territorial integrity. He stressed that this consensus constitutes strong backing for the legal standing of the state as a member of the United Nations and enhances prospects for peace and sustainable development.

He concluded by underscoring that the future belongs to the state and institutional action. He noted that today’s achievement proves that when Yemenis unite around the state and the rule of law, and do justice to their loyal brothers, they are capable of achieving victory and building a secure and prosperous future for all.
