President Al-Alimi Reviews the Situation in Shabwa Governorate

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, today Wednesday, reviewed the overall situation in Shabwa Governorate, in the wake of recent developments witnessed in the eastern governorates.

President Al-Alimi was briefed by Shabwa Governor Awadh Mohammed bin Al-Wazir on the general security and service conditions, the level of readiness of local authorities to ensure stability, and the measures taken to protect sovereign facilities and public interests, as well as to deter any potential threats.

The President of the Presidential Leadership Council directed that all necessary measures be taken to enhance security and stability in the governorate, secure vital facilities and infrastructure, and implement sovereign presidential decisions. He stressed that these measures should safeguard citizens’ interests, preserve state resources, and prevent any attempts to undermine public security or disrupt services.

The President reaffirmed the state’s commitment to supporting local authorities in carrying out their constitutional and legal duties, in coordination with all security and military agencies. He emphasized the need to meet citizens’ needs, particularly during this critical phase that requires the highest levels of responsibility and discipline.

President Al-Alimi also praised the honorable role of the people of Shabwa and their steadfast national positions alongside the state and its legitimate institutions across various stages. He expressed his confidence in their high level of awareness and sincere cooperation in maintaining the governorate’s security and stability, and in contributing effectively to the process of restoring state institutions and building the desired future.

He Excellency further emphasized that Shabwa Governorate, given its economic and national significance, will continue to receive the state’s attention and care, including empowering its citizens and strengthening their participation in decision-making at all levels.
