President of the Presidential Leadership Council meets Presidency of the Consultation Commission

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council and Council member Dr. Abdullah Al-Alimi, met today, Saturday, at Ma’ashiq Palace, with the Chairman of the Consultation and Reconciliation Commission, Mohammed Al-Ghaithi, and his deputies, Sakhr Al-Wajih, Jamila Ali Raja, and Akram Al-Amiri.

The President of the Presidential Leadership Council listened to briefings from the Chairman and deputies of the Consultation and Reconciliation Commission on the work of the Commission during the past period. His Excellency was briefed on the Commission’s future programs in reconciliation, justice, and the strengthening of its role in the political, economic, social, media, and cultural fields, and the protection of rights and freedoms.

His Excellency the President briefed the Presidency of the Commission on the developments of the local situation, including his internal visits to the governorates of Hadramout and Al-Mahra, and the economic and financial reforms capable of attracting regional and international funds and grants.

The President of the Presidential Leadership Council, and his fellow member of the Council, stressed the importance of focusing the Consultation and Reconciliation Commission on the main issues consistent with the nature of the exceptional circumstances imposed by the Houthi militia war supported by the Iranian regime on the Yemeni people, their achievements and national interests.

His Excellency the President praised the efforts of the Consultation Commission and its supportive role for the Council, stressing the importance to enhance its active presence in converging points of view and bridging trust among all national components.

The meeting was attended by Director of the Office of the Presidency of the Republic, Dr. Yahya Al-Shuaibi.
