President of Presidential Leadership Council made a phone call with President El-Sisi

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, made a phone call with His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the brotherly Arab Republic of Egypt.

The President of the Presidential Leadership Council, on his behalf, the council members, the government, and the Yemeni people, reiterated sincere gratitude and appreciation to President  El-Sisi,  and his generous directives for providing the required facilities to Yemenis ‏ residing in or arriving to Egypt.

President al- Alimi briefed President el-Sisi, on the latest developments in the in the Yemeni situation and the efforts of the brothers and friends to revive the political process, in light of the intransigence of the Iran- backed Houthi militias.

During the call, the two presidents discussed ways to enhance the longstanding relations between the Republic of Yemen and the Arab Republic of Egypt, and to elevate bilateral relations to broader horizons in various fields.

His Excellency the President praised the Egyptian position in support of the Presidential Leadership Council, the government, the Yemeni people, and  their legitimate aspirations of restoring State institutions, and achieving peace, stability, and development.

For his part , President el-Sisi affirmed Egypt's support for the Presidential Leadership Council and the legitimate government, making all efforts for  the benefit of Yemeni people and alleviating their humanitarian suffering, which reflect the distinctiveness of the historical relations between the two  brotherly countries and  peoples.
