President Calls for National Cohesion, Support for State Institutions, and Non-Politicization of Just Causes
Aden
His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, delivered today, Saturday evening, a statement to the Yemeni people on the occasion of the 58th anniversary of the glorious Independence Day. In his speech, he conveyed—on his behalf and on behalf of the Council members and the government—the sincerest congratulations on this national occasion. It marked the culmination of a great national struggle and an extension of the spirit of the September 26 and October 14 revolutions, reaffirming the unity of Yemenis in their fight for freedom, justice, and human dignity.
The President said:
“Our celebration of this precious occasion comes while our nation is going through one of the most difficult phases in its history. As forces of tyranny and the new Imamate seek to return us to their abhorrent past, supported by the Iranian regime and its destructive project across the region.”
His Excellency affirmed that despite all the suffering created by the Iran-backed Houthi terrorist militia, “the safe and stable Yemen we all aspire to is now closer than ever, thanks to the resolve of its brave sons, the heroes of its armed forces, and the support of our loyal brothers in the Coalition to Support Legitimacy.”
He called on everyone to hold onto hope, reinforce national cohesiveness, refrain from politicizing just causes, and support state institutions. He emphasized the need to work collectively for a new Yemen—free, secure, just, and prosperous—worthy of the sacrifices of its people and able to reclaim its rightful place in the Gulf, Arab, and international arenas.
