President Al-Alimi Checks on Health of Taiz Axis Operations Chief, Commander of Fifth Presidential Guard Brigade

His Excellency Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, made a phone call to Brigadier General Adnan Ruzeiq, Chief of Operations for the Taiz Axis and Commander of the Fifth Presidential Guard Brigade. The call came to inquire about his health following a successful surgery after he was wounded in the terrorist attack that targeted his convoy earlier today, Wednesday, west of Taiz City. The attack resulted in the martyrdom of two of his escorts and the injury of others.

During the call, His Excellency the President was briefed on Brig. Gen. Ruzeiq’s medical condition, as well as an initial report on the circumstances of the terrorist operation and the suspected perpetrators, believed to be acting in coordination with the Iran-backed Houthi militia.

President Al-Alimi directed the competent authorities to swiftly investigate the incident, apprehend the perpetrators, and bring them to justice. He also ordered the provision of assistance to the families of the martyrs and support for the wounded.

The President of the Presidential Leadership Council praised the high morale and heroic resilience of the Armed Forces and security personnel across all fronts, lauding their legendary bravery in confronting the terrorist Houthi militia and other criminal organizations allied with it.

His Excellency extended his sincere condolences and sympathy to the families of the fallen heroes, praying to Almighty God to bestow His mercy upon the martyrs, grant them eternal rest in His vast gardens, and bless the wounded with a speedy recovery.
