President Al-Alimi Offers Condolences to Saudi Leadership on Passing of the Kingdom’s Grand Mufti

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, sent a cable of condolences to his brother, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, following the passing of the late Grand Mufti of the Kingdom and Head of the Council of Senior Scholars, Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Sheikh. 

On behalf of himself, the Council members, the government, and the Yemeni people, President Al-Alimi expressed his sincere condolences to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the family of the deceased, and the brotherly Saudi government and people for their painful loss.

His Excellency the President praised the virtues of Sheikh Abdulaziz and his great contributions to serving Islam and Muslims. He noted that with Sheikh Abdul Aziz passing, the Islamic world has lost a distinguished scholar who devoted his life to the service of Islamic jurisprudence, issuing fatwas, advocacy, and righteous guidance. The President prayed to Almighty Allah to bestow His vast mercy and forgiveness upon the deceased, grant him Paradise, and inspire his family and loved ones with patience and solace.

President Al-Alimi also sent a similar condolences cable to His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
